Acadia team finishes second in Bank of Canada's national competition

A team of Acadia students, including 3 Mathematics and Statistics majors, finished second in The Governor's Challenge, a national competition organized by the Bank of Canada.

In this student competition, teams simulate the role of advisor to the Bank’s Governing Council.  Acadia was one of five teams competing in the final round, each giving a presentation on the economic outlook for Canada and making a monetary policy recommendation to a panel of senior central bank officials.  UBC came first, and Acadia finished second ahead of UQAM, University of Ottawa and the University of Toronto.

Congratulations!!
