Seminar: Experimenting with Alternative Course Formats

We have each run a somewhat experimental course this past semester: Richard’s History of Math course was a co-creation with students in the course, and Eva’s Mathematical Concepts 2 course used an Alternative Grading format (formerly called Mastery Grading in math and science education circles). We’ll each give a short presentation on how our courses went, then answer questions and invite discussion.
