Resources for Students
MASH: Math And Stats Help Centre
Acadia's Math & Stats Help Centre (MASH) is a peer-tutoring (free of charge) service designed to help you with the mathematics or statistics content in your courses. Students in any INTRODUCTORY math or stats course can use the MASH centre during our drop-in hours to get some hints and help.
For more information and schedules please visit the Centre's website.
Statistical Consulting Centre
Acadia's Statistical Consulting Centre provides free statistical advice to Acadia University students, especially those working on projects or theses. The Centre is also a useful service for problems from Acadia faculty, and works with government, industry, and external scientific partners on a research collaborative or educational basis.
For more information please visit the Centre's website.
Acadia Math Society
The Acadia Math Society aims to bring together the math community at Acadia by planning events and get-togethers. By joining the math society, you can meet other math majors in your year, as well as some senior math students. Of course, this helps finding study buddies as well as finding older students in your degree to get advice from. We like to plan movie nights, game nights, Pi Day, and other events & activities! Anybody is allowed to join (not just math majors)!
