Math Competitons

There are many opportunities for students at all levels to prepare for and compete in competitions.  Some of these opportunities are listed below.

For High School Students 

• The Nova Scotia Math League:  Acadia hosts this competition for students in the Annapolis Valley region.  Students across the province attend three team competitions during the year and the top teams compete at the provincial finals in Halifax in May.   For details, contact our organizer, Jeff Hooper at jhooper@acadiau.ca

For Undergraduate Students

• Science Atlantic math competition:

  Registration deadline: same as conference registration deadline, usually

  Contest date: always the first Saturday in December
  Registration deadline: always the beginning of October
• Mathematical Contest in Modeling (new this year!):

  Registration deadline: Acadia's internal deadline will be early December.
• Acadia Undergraduate Mathematics Competition (Mid-April)
