MATH 1023: Introductory Calculus II
OVERVIEW:
MATH
1023 is Acadia's second calculus course, and follows on from Math 1013. The main focus of the course is on integration. This course prepares students for second-year courses in Advanced Calculus and Differential Equations (Math 2013, Math 2023, Math 2723, Math 2753), as well as for Probability and Statistics for Scientists and Engineers (Math 2213, Math 2223).
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Topics covered include Definite Integrals and Antiderivatives, properties of integration, applications of integration, and Taylor polynomials and series.
PREREQUISITES:
MATH 1013 is required. It is strongly recommended that Math 1013 be completed in the previous semester.
